Carriera is proud to partner with a leading housing consultancy that is seeking a Junior Principal Designer/CDM Advisor to join their team in London. Our client offers a wide range of services, including project management, cost consultancy, and client-side programme and development management, with a deep expertise in public sector housing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Principal Designer in fulfilling duties as outlined in the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015.
  • Work closely with Housing Association and Local Authority clients, delivering Principal Designer services for residential properties, including high-rise buildings.
  • Identify and manage design-related risks.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors, designers, and clients through Design Team Meetings and Risk Workshops.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage the pre-construction phase of projects.
  • Provide essential information to contractors to manage health and safety throughout the construction phase.
  • Conduct interim Health & Safety inspections and review site records.
  • Review Contractor's Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan.
  • Pursue a professional qualification in designing, building surveying, or building services.
  • Commit to continual professional development (CPD).
  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety is preferred.
