About the Role:

As an Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing automated assembly lines and machines. This is a fantastic opportunity to utilize your knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and communication network design to create innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and program complex automation solutions
  • Create functional design specifications
  • Work on multi-line projects as part of a team
  • Communicaate effectively with Electrical, Mechanical, Process, and Shop floor departments
  • Ensure effective project milestone management

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum HNC level or equivalent in Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • 3+ years' experience in programming automated production lines
  • Extensive knowledge of PLC and HMI design and commissioning
  • Familiarity with TIA/Step 7 and Safety & Startdrive/Starter
  • Proficiency in ladder, graph, and SCL languages
  • Knowledge of Siemens WinCC/ WinCC Flex
  • Understanding of DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, ProfiNET, ProfiSAFE, and other communication protocols
  • Knowledge of pneumatic safety principles and design
  • Understanding of motion control and robot integration
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues on automated manufacturing lines
  • Revision and version management experience
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic drawings
