Physiotherapy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our Medical Inpatient Physiotherapy team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality physiotherapy services to patients across a range of clinical areas, including oncology, haematology, infectious diseases, renal, and palliative care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and treat patients with a range of conditions, including acute respiratory needs, and develop treatment plans to meet their individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Supervise and support more junior staff, including physiotherapy assistants and students, to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care.
- Contribute to the development of the physiotherapy service, including participating in audit and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide education and training to staff and students to ensure they have the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality care.
- State registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Physiotherapist.
- Postgraduate qualification in Physiotherapy or a related field.
- Experience of working in an acute inpatient setting, with a focus on respiratory care.
- Ability to communicate complex information to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
