Commercial Buyer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Buyer to join our team at WHSmith. As a Commercial Buyer, you will be responsible for buying for WHSmith Netherlands, working closely with our commercial team to drive the commercial agenda. Your strong FMCG background and tough negotiation skills will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own category pricing, including the development and management of pricing policies.
  • Full ownership of department supplier income delivery and responsibility for reporting performance across the business.
  • Understand, develop, and share net terms.
  • Implement clear actions with a long-term supplier strategy covering annual deals, payment terms, cost prices, and marketing spending.

Requirements:
  • Background in FMCG or similar product categories.
  • Strong experience within relevant buying or commercial roles within the International/European market place.
