About the Role
- As an Environmental Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our energy waste facility.
- You will work closely with our Maintenance and Operations teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will be working with various stakeholders to achieve our environmental goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Conduct routine plant tests and inspections to ensure optimal performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to analyze process performance and implement data-driven solutions.
- Provide training and support to colleagues on environmental procedures and best practices.
- Develop and maintain effective safety and housekeeping programs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of emergency procedures and instructions.
- Operate and maintain plant equipment, including boilers, turbines, and FGT systems.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics, including energy efficiency and waste reduction.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends.
Requirements
- Strong background in environmental operations and maintenance, preferably in the power generation sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and environmental responsibility.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
