We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our social housing maintenance team at Howells Recruitment. As a Social Housing Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring residents have well-maintained and safe homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform carpentry repairs and maintenance in social housing properties.
- Install, repair, and replace doors, windows, cabinets, and other carpentry elements.
- Identify and assess housing issues, providing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and complete work orders.
- Ensure work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Uphold safety and quality standards at all times.
- Communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably in social housing or a similar field.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Qualification in Carpentry/working towards.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
