Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of a significant workstream within a large transformation programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of the workstream, including planning, resourcing, and change management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage client relationships through effective informal reviews, formal workstream and project governance, and accurate reporting.
  • Build key relationships with the Customer's Internal Team and Senior Stakeholders in relation to the workstream.
  • Plan delivery of the workstream within the overall programme implementation plan.
  • Manage resourcing and be responsible for change management within the workstream.
  • Work closely with other Delivery Managers to coordinate planning, identify interdependencies, and manage risks and issues.
  • Manage Key Subcontractors, Vendors, and other third parties on whom the workstream is dependent.
  • Assist the Programme Director with overall programme governance, financial management, and budget, change management, communication, and status reporting.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience of managing workstreams and projects within large Business Change and Transformation programmes in the Northern Ireland Public Sector.
  • Experience of orchestrating efficiencies and synergies in delivery of multiple projects and work packages across a workstream within a large programme of work.
  • Ability to leverage key capabilities within the Delivery teams to make the budget go further.
  • Experience of ensuring effective control over costs and resourcing, enabling the delivery of workstreams/projects within the programme to budget, quality, and time standards.
  • Ability to manage relationships with Stakeholders and third parties.
  • Ability to manage relationships with Key Subcontractors and Vendors.
  • Experience of managing workstream and project risks and issues, assessing criticalities and contingencies.
  • Ability to ensure transition to Managed Service for all aspects of the workstream is completed seamlessly with minimal impact to our Customer's Stakeholders and End Users.
Qualifications
  • Prince 2 Practitioner, PMP, MSP, or similar Project Management certification.
  • 3rd level qualification in a relevant field or similar.
  • Proven experience in large transformation programmes, delivering efficiencies and business benefit across traditional and silos and business units.
  • Ability to manage a large programme of work with multiple project workstreams within a large organisation.
  • Proven experience of delivering projects in an Agile environment and managing Application Delivery Teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to relate to all levels within an organisation from the front-line to the CEO.
  • Ability to drive consensus across diverse groups.
  • Agile and proactive approach, with the ability to manage uncertainty, adjust to rapid change, and mitigate the effects of ambiguity and surprise.
  • Ability to mentor and develop Programme Team Members if required.
  • Relentless appetite for successful change delivery and benefits realization.
  • 3+ years' experience as a Programme Manager/Senior Project Manager.
  • Senior Stakeholder engagement experience.
