Learning Disability Specialist Consultant

Main Responsibilities:
- Consultant psychiatrists will have responsibility for their caseload and inpatients.
- Supervise and support team members in assessments and provide medical interventions for patients.
- Support staff to manage psychiatric emergencies and lead multidisciplinary reviews.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, participate in Trust's risk management processes, and provide medical leadership to the team.
- Maintain effective communication with other parts of the Mental Health service and across the Trust.
Person Specification: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Learning Disability Psychiatry, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
