About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Associate to join our team at Octopus Electric Vehicles. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and establishing sales pipelines with customers, from lead through to delivery, meeting and exceeding targets set.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategically plan and target the acquisition of new customers
  2. Pitch and present our product and services to new clients
  3. Manage your pipeline and take control, recording progress in our CRM system and keeping things up to date
  4. Record customer satisfaction and best practice measures
  5. Attend exhibition events to meet prospects and spread the word about electric vehicles and how we can help
  6. Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process
  7. Work with the wider teams to iterate propositions, processes and materials to ensure we remain the leading provider in our B2B market space

Requirements

  • Proven track record of hitting sales targets while maintaining excellent customer experience
  • Previous experience within a B2B consultative environment and a strong passion for Electric Vehicles / Energy and decarbonisation
  • Excellent listening skills when working in B2B roles, with an ability to identify customer needs
  • Great communication skills, with an ability to manage and set customer expectations
  • A ruthless focus on the customer, with a genuine passion for going above and beyond
  • An enthusiastic self-starter, with a willingness to learn and the ability to problem solve
  • An ability to show a completer finisher mentality, with an understanding of processes as a whole and how that creates the entire vision
  • A start-up / innovative mindset, with an ability to adjust to change, keep up with the demands of a fast-moving business and contribute towards its exciting growth potential
