An exciting opportunity has emerged for the role of an Electrical Systems Specialist to become a key contributor to a thriving Chemical Manufacturing team.

The position of Electrical Systems Specialist is a permanent, days-based role that will involve working closely with the Engineering team to ensure the efficiency and safety of chemical production on a COMAH Site. This will involve upgrading and installing new equipment as required, as well as maintaining all current systems.

Main Responsibilities of the Electrical Systems Specialist:

  1. To carry out planned preventative maintenance regimes, inspections schedules on site plant, equipment, and buildings
  2. To work with the sites Permit to work and risk assessment systems
  3. To accurately complete job records and update as required
  4. To maintain liquid transfer systems, relief devices, pumps, tanks, valves, gaskets and additional site equipment
  5. To assist with the design and maintenance of electrical systems to current specifications and ensure compliance with safety standards
  6. To identify and implement continuous improvements projects

The successful Electrical Systems Specialist for the role will hold a HNC or equivalent in an electrical or engineering discipline, hands on experience with demonstratable track record of success. It would be beneficial for the Electrical Systems Specialist to have experience within a manufacturing setting, ideally from a Chemical background with an awareness of COMAH. Having an 18th Edition qualification is desirable.

Estimated Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
