Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust is committed to delivering high-quality care to children and young people across the region. We are currently seeking an experienced Adult Clinical Psychologist to join our team, based at Ryegate Children's Centre in Sheffield.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified clinical psychologist to work with children and families affected by neurodisability. As an Adult Clinical Psychologist, you will provide a specialist psychology service to children and young people referred to the Ryegate Neurodisability Service. Your duties will include assessments, interventions, and providing specialist advice and consultation to colleagues.

The successful candidate will have significant post-qualification experience as a clinical psychologist, including working with children and young people with mental health, health, and/or neurodevelopmental difficulties. You will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to children, their families, carers, and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide a qualified specialist clinical psychology service to children and young people referred to the Ryegate Neurodisability Service.
  • To ensure the systematic provision of a high-quality specialist clinical psychology service to clients of the specialist Neurodisability team.
  • To utilise research skills for audit, policy, and service development and research.
Person Specification

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic clinical psychologist who can work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, accredited by the BPS.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders and intervention approaches relevant to their care.
  • Registration as a Clinical Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

  • An ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.

Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include a generous pension scheme, life insurance, and access to a range of employee wellbeing services. We also offer a relocation package to support candidates moving from outside the local area.
