Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Officer Credit Management Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable and credit management, with excellent numerical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and manage approximately 800 invoices per month, including PO and non-PO invoices.
  • Request and obtain approval for non-PO invoices and allocate budget accordingly.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and investigate outstanding items to ensure the ledger is up-to-date.
  • Liaise with business units and suppliers to resolve queries and ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Present technical information and solutions to architects, contractors, and suppliers, and negotiate as necessary.
  • Manage company credit card expenses and maintain accurate records.
  • Set up and maintain new supplier accounts and update existing supplier details.
  • Efficiently manage the accounts payable mailbox and create supplier payment lists.
  • Provide reports and assistance for monthly management accounts, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Support the year-end statutory accounts and audit process.
Requirements:
  • 3 years of experience in accounts payable and credit management.
  • Proven numerical ability and accounting knowledge.
  • Understanding of nominal ledger coding and its importance.
  • Experience with SAPB1 is an advantage but not essential.
  • Highly organized, efficient, and firm with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take on additional tasks as required.
  • Good attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
