Senior Credit Manager

This is a role in the credit control team at GroundUp Property Group Limited. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and reducing the company’s outstanding debts, ensuring a healthy cash flow. The role involves close communication with clients to resolve overdue accounts, implementing debt recovery strategies, and supporting the finance team in maintaining efficient credit control processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Debt Collection: Proactively chase outstanding invoices, reaching out to clients through phone calls, emails, and written communications to secure prompt payments.
- Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile client accounts to ensure accuracy in all financial records and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all communications and actions taken on overdue accounts, ensuring that debt management activities are well-documented and traceable.
- Credit Risk Assessment: Evaluate and monitor client accounts for creditworthiness, identifying potential risk accounts and liaising with management to recommend credit limits or additional measures where needed.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, outlining outstanding debts, collection activities, and any relevant trends or issues.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with the company’s credit policy, industry regulations, and legal requirements regarding debt recovery practices.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as a professional and approachable point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns they may have regarding their accounts while maintaining the company’s reputation.
This role requires a strong understanding of credit control processes, payment terms, and debt collection best practices. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is also necessary for effective account tracking and reporting. Attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for managing multiple accounts and follow-ups.
