Job Summary
Orion Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial & Contracts team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing contract strategies, managing tender processes, and ensuring the effective administration of contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement contract strategies to meet business objectives
- Manage tender processes, including the preparation of tender documents and the evaluation of submissions
- Administer contracts, including the negotiation of terms and conditions, and the management of contract variations and claims
- Provide commercial and contractual advice to stakeholders, including the preparation of contract-related reports and presentations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the effective management of contracts and the achievement of business objectives
Requirements
- Proven experience in contract management, with a strong understanding of commercial and contractual principles
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex contractual data
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively, with a strong attention to detail
Desirable Qualifications
- Relevant degree in a commercial or related subject
- Experience with contract management software, such as Maximo or Ivalua
- Knowledge of commercial and contractual law, including contract drafting and negotiation
