Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Blow Moulding Engineering team to deliver exceptional results, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and driving business growth through continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the engineering team to achieve best-in-class performance and efficiency.
  • Implement effective maintenance systems, including CMMS, to minimize downtime and maximize production.
  • Develop and manage budgets, prioritizing capital expenditure projects to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring adherence to BRC and ISO accreditation standards.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and excellence, encouraging team members to seek out opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings, improving efficiency, and implementing process improvements.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • HNC in Engineering or related field, with relevant certifications (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely, WCM training).
  • Experience with CMMS controls and lean/continuous improvement methods is desirable.

What We Offer:
  • Competitive base salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • 10% bonus, paid annually, based on individual and team performance.
