Job Summary

United Living Group is seeking a highly skilled Technical Design Manager to lead our design team in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and producing Temporary Works Solutions, conducting structural assessments, and leading technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and produce Temporary Works Solutions as lead engineer
  • Conduct structural assessments using Finite Element Analysis
  • Lead technical teams and manage design-related activities
  • Liaise with Operations Lead, Project Managers, and Commercial Manager to ensure technical function is effective and efficient
  • Review alternative build methods and practices
  • Keep up to date on new and innovative products
  • Assist in the management and compilation of overall project
  • Liaise with Client's Project Teams to ensure designs are technically compliant
  • Organise and manage technical coordination workshops, Package Reviews, and Design Team Meetings
  • Oversee document control and translation of conceptual scheme into efficient and workable commercial solution
  • Liaise with key personnel in preparation for project costing and design works
  • Review tenders and assess quality of received information
  • Review / Interrogate consultants' and sub-contractors drawings and hold package review meetings
  • Monitor production information and consultant activities against budgetary allowances
  • Ensure United Living's drive for world-class Health and Safety is delivered
  • Ensure all aspects of design are fully coordinated
  • Monitor changes from Clients, design consultants, subcontractors, and proposed changes by construction team
