Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Clinical Trials Specialist to join our pharmacy team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with the Lead Pharmacist for Clinical Trials in delivering all pharmaceutical aspects of clinical trials, including coordinating and managing the service at a senior level.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical trials, excellent communication and organizational skills, and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Experience in hospital pharmacy and a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills (or equivalent) is essential. The role involves writing working procedures, temperature monitoring, dispensing, communicating with research teams, organizing and facilitating sponsor monitored visits, training and line management duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To coordinate and maintain the Lewisham and Greenwich Trust Clinical Trials service in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and departmental procedures.
  • To support the Lead Clinical Trials Pharmacist in streamlining Pharmacy Clinical Trial Service across both sites at the Trust.
  • To communicate regularly with the Research and Development (R&D) team when organizing trials in set-up and delivery.
  • To facilitate the delivery of an efficient and effective Pharmacy service for Clinical Trial patients.
