Key duties include:

  • Designing and developing robust formulations based on project briefs
  • Accurately documenting research and development activities, managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive projects from concept to launch, ensuring quality, safety, and efficacy standards are met
  • Participating in production-scale trials to ensure smooth transition of projects from development to commercial scale
  • Supporting clinical and pilot studies
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and scientific advancements through research and attendance at trade shows, identifying opportunities to drive product improvements and innovation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in cosmetic or pharmaceutical sciences
  • Experience in formulation development of skincare or personal care products, topical or transdermal formulations, preferably in the cosmetics or pharmaceutical industries
  • Strong knowledge of cosmetic and pharmaceutical ingredients and their interactions
  • Familiarity with cosmetic, medicinal, or medical device regulations
  • Excellent HPLC, GC, and wet chemistry skills
  • A passion for continuous learning and a growth mindset
  • Excellent report writing skills
