Job Title: Director of Quality Assurance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Quality Assurance to lead our quality function across 4 manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all existing quality functions and processes, supplier quality management, and the business QMS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement long-term quality assurance strategies to reduce quality-associated risks to the business and its customers.
  • Maintain procedures and processes within an ISO 9001 certified QMS, ensuring company-wide compliance to UK, legal, and customer specifications and standards.
  • Represent the business in front of our global supply base, working in both internal and external locations to add value to how we source, design, develop, and manage the quality of parts to meet customer demands.
  • Lead and manage the quality function from new product conception through to warranty analysis to ensure a proactive culture, delivering products that meet customer expectations and agreed standards.

Requirements:

  • Degree-level education within a technical engineering function.
  • Proven leadership experience of quality functions and heading up a quality department within a manufacturing business.
  • Experience in ISO management systems such as ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
  • Desirable background in steel fabrications and/or machining environments.
