We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Blackburn with Darwen, Lancashire. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred support, case work, and activity facilitation to individuals with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Work collaboratively with individuals using the recovery model to promote independence and well-being.
- Provide holistic support, including one-to-one and group work, to address the unique needs of each individual.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships built on trust, respect, and empathy.
- Ensure social inclusion and promote community engagement.
- Support individuals with housing and tenancy-related needs, including daily living skills and independent living.
- Contribute to administrative duties and housing management tasks.
- Drive development work and liaise with community groups to provide activities and services.
- Paid or unpaid experience of supporting individuals with mental health needs is essential.
- A strong work ethic, duty of care, and commitment to a positive approach.
- A full clean driving licence and access to a car.
- Flexibility to work predominantly Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, with some evening and weekend shifts.
- Full training and opportunities for professional development.
- The chance to work towards a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
- A probationary bonus, pension contributions, 28 days Annual Leave, and company-paid enhanced DBS.
