About the Role

The Portering and Post Room Services department at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to oversee the delivery of an exceptional customer experience. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and patient-focused portering service across the Trust.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of porters and post room staff to deliver a high-quality service
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service efficiency and patient satisfaction
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Provide training and guidance to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Manage administrative tasks, including processing time sheets and maintaining electronic training records

Requirements

  • Significant experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving license and ability to work a variety of shift patterns, including evenings, nights, and weekends
