About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our Site Leadership Team at Wensleydale Creamery in Yorkshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and guidance to our manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of 5 to complete all financial aspects, including actual, budget, and forecast reporting.
  • Act as a business partner to the Site Director to ensure the best decisions are made for the business.
  • Own the financial development of the sites long-term operational plan and prepare an annual budget and monthly reforecast.
  • Ensure adherence to Group minimum levels of financial control and take responsibility for the tight review and management of the balance sheet and cash flow.
  • Work with SLT heads of department to improve processes to drive out non-value adding activities while maintaining robust operational controls.
Requirements
  • A qualified accountant with time spent in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in people development.
  • A track record of accountability to and delivery of challenging targets.
  • Ability to work in a consistently calm, controlled, positive, and effective manner, under own initiative, in a changing environment.
