Helicopter Training Manager Position in UK

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Helicopter Training Manager to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our Flight Training department, you will be responsible for the provision of training programs that support safe and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing and maintaining a training system that meets the company's operational needs, prioritizing safety above all else
- Driving implementation and adherence of harmonized flight operations standards and procedures within CHC
- Maintaining a high standard of training and testing, adhering to OM Part A, B, C, D, F, and G requirements
- Monitoring and maintaining flight crew training through regular observation and appraisal in the training and examining role
- Ensuring efficient use of aircraft, simulators, training facilities, and training manpower according to operational manual requirements
- Sourcing flight crew proficiency standards at the highest level suitable for line operations, in close liaison with other MCTs and under the supervision of the Head of Flight Training
- Meeting regulatory requirements related to training, testing, and checking of flight crew at all times
- Maintaining active dialogue with regulatory agencies to ensure acceptable standards and business continuity
- Coordinating and implementing QMS/LMS/EGS systems and associated pilot record management, ensuring audit readiness and compliance with OMD requirements
- Working closely with external resources for training delivery
- Maintaining active dialogue with customers and relevant third-party providers to ensure acceptable standards and business continuity
- Maintaining in-depth knowledge of relevant regulations
- Willingness to fly under their AOC to maintain recency
- Active participation in the UK CHC Management Team and supporting other UK departments as required
- Attending and participating in Operational Review Board meetings and other management gatherings as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Considerable aviation management experience, including time in the helicopter sector
- Effective leadership and management skills, with ability to mentor and drive a high-performing team
- Knowledge of local aviation legislation and standards
- Experience developing and delivering training programs
- Satisfactory record in conduct or management of air operations
- Satisfactory record in conduct or management of training and checking in relation to air operations
- Experience setting up training systems/methodologies and procedures
- Project-orientated working methods
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills
- Collaborative problem-solving skills, with ability to envision system-wide solutions
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to conduct research in course development and delivery concepts
- Ability to work under pressure to achieve and maintain predetermined service levels
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
