This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team in the Central Manchester Home Based Treatment Team, delivering evidence-based care and providing clinical leadership. As a senior clinician, you will be expected to lead and work collaboratively with a team of foundation/GP doctors in training, advanced nurse practitioners, nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, and support workers.

Main Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality clinical care to patients referred to the HBTT, focusing on direct patient care and leading the multidisciplinary team in organizing patient care.

Provide expert advice and input in relation to patient care, including detention under The Mental Health Act, and undertake mental health act assessments in conjunction with colleagues.

Supervise medical students, junior doctors, and non-consultant career grade doctors, as well as Advanced Clinical Practitioners and non-medical prescriber colleagues.

Contribute to CPD activities, participate in audit and service development activities, and engage in multidisciplinary teaching and development.

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • A medical degree and registration with the GMC
  • MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists
  • Specialist Register status
Working Arrangements

This full-time position comes with a salary of £105,504 to £139,882 per annum pro rata and is based at the Rawnsley Building, Manchester Royal Infirmary.
