Cranswick Country Foods PLC is seeking a skilled Pig Farming Unit Supervisor to join their team in the Thetford/Brandon/Mundford area of Norfolk.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the staff on the unit and ensuring the condition of the livestock is maintained at a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the staff on the unit
  • Ensuring the condition of the livestock is maintained at a high standard
  • Actively involved with all areas of the pig breeding unit to meet business requirements
  • Managing the performance of the unit and liaising with managers to report targets and maintain commercial focus
  • Feeding, moving and handling the pigs as well as stock counts and regular communication with the office and senior Managers

Requirements include:

  • Own transport
  • Flexibility, leading by example and supporting other colleagues/teams and management
  • Reliability and good time keeping
  • Animal Welfare prioritised at all times, ensuring company codes of Practice and policies are adhered to
  • Previous practical experience with livestock and previous managerial experience desirable
