About the Role

We are seeking an experienced veterinarian to join our team as a Veterinary Adviser - Livestock. In this role, you will provide expert advice and support to our livestock team, laboratory, and distribution teams.

You will be based out of our stud farm in Cheshire, where you will work closely with our skilled support staff and genetics team to monitor and advise on herd health and biosecurity plans. You will also be responsible for inspecting and testing prospective sires, and providing semen certification services.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading livestock breeding company, utilizing your specialist bovine health and biosecurity knowledge. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the success of our business by providing high-quality veterinary advice and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and advise on herd health and biosecurity plans
  • Inspect and test prospective sires
  • Provide technical guidance to colleagues and customers
  • Conduct clinical examinations and semen certification services

Requirements:

  • Veterinary Surgeon Degree
  • Registered with the MRCVS
  • Excellent prioritization skills
  • Positive attitude and desire to learn
  • Full driving license

Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience
