We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join our team as an Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee New Product Implementation processes to ensure a robust process and system is in place.
- Be responsible for all Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Collaborate with the design team on new projects.
- Communicate across departments to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production issues.
- Develop processes to capture production issues that can be addressed through design/engineering.
- Provide guidance on techniques and equipment to improve production efficiency.
- Manage the test function and ensure a robust testing service is in place.
- Implement Lean and Continuous Improvement processes.
Requirements:
- Experience in electronics manufacturing.
- Technical knowledge of various processes including SMT, AOI, etc.
- Experience of NPI processes.
- A relevant electrical or electronic qualification is desirable (minimum HNC).
- Knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement tools and techniques.
What We Offer:
A competitive salary of £45,000-£55,000 (dependent on experience) + pension, cash plan healthcare, etc.
Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-12:30pm on a Friday. Some flexibility is offered to start and finish a little earlier or later if it suits the person.
