Telecoms Test Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Telecoms Test Engineer to join our team in Birmingham. As a Telecoms Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and validating telecoms systems and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • SIP and VoIP Call Performance Testing: Use tools like SIPp, Spectra, WinSIP, and StarTrinity to test SIP and VoIP call performance.
  • Automation with Python and Robot Framework: Automate testing using Python and Robot Framework.
  • API Test Automation and Performance Testing: Use Locust, Blazemeter/Taurus, k6, newman, and jmeter to automate and test APIs and performance.
  • GUI Automation: Use TestCafe, Robot Framework, and Selenium to automate GUI testing.
  • CI/CD Test Integration: Integrate testing into continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
  • Linux Build Automation: Use Ansible and Terraform to automate Linux build processes.
  • Basic Administration: Perform basic administration tasks in Linux and Windows environments.
  • Operating System Expertise: Have expertise in operating systems such as RHEL, CentOS, OEL, Windows Servers/Workstations, and experience with DNS/DHCP/LDAP/A.D servers.
  • Telecom Applications and Protocols: Have familiarity with telecom applications (e.g., Metaswitch Rhino, Dialogic Media Server, Perimeta SBC) and telecom protocols (SIP, RTP).
  • ITIL Process and Security: Have a strong understanding of ITIL process and experience with security implementation/system hardening on telecom applications and services.
Desirable Skills:
  • SSCA SIP School Certified Associate: Have a certification in SIP School.
  • Intelligent Network Service Protocols: Have knowledge of intelligent network service protocols (e.g., INAP, CAP, MAP).
  • Metaswitch Scenario Simulator: Have experience using Metaswitch Scenario Simulator for SIP, INAP, and MAP protocol testing.
  • Python Scripting: Have proficiency in developing scripting with Python.
