Job Summary:

The Logistics Partnership LLP is seeking an experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician to join our team in Bournemouth, Dorset. As a key member of our workshop facility, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a wide range of commercial vehicles, from 7.5t trucks to tractor units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all vehicles, trailers, and workshop equipment to company and legal standards to ensure maximum operational availability for the Transport Department.
  • Ensure the care and condition of all Company equipment is maintained and report all defects/damages.
  • Maintain a recording monitoring system to comply with legal and company requirements.
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure that site Health & Safety standards comply with Company Policy.

Requirements:

  • Completed an HGV/LGV apprenticeship.
  • Your own tools.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Class 1 license would be beneficial but is not essential for this role.
  • Previous experience in reversing and moving vehicles into the workshop is desirable but training will be given.

Working Hours and Rates:

This role is available on a straight Monday to Friday Late/Night Shift, 17:00 - 01:30, with half an hour unpaid lunch break. The basic hourly rate is up to £25.00 per hour, with overtime available paid at time and a half.
