Job Title: Enterprise Architect

Job Type: Contract

Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Durham office)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our client, a leading company in the Water Industry, as they embark on a major Transformation Programme. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise to support the programme's objectives and ensure the delivery of a robust and scalable IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive enterprise-level architecture aligned with industry best practices (TOGAF, Zachmann, etc.)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create a technical architecture that meets business requirements and leverages existing systems landscape
  • Organize and facilitate stakeholder workshops to ensure alignment across business functions
  • Highlight interim target states as part of architecture evolution

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in capital delivery, engineering, and construction
  • Ability to create a technical enterprise architecture aligned with architectural best practice
  • Experience working in a bi-modal IT environment (ITIL and agile frameworks)
  • Experience with waterfall and systems V projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Interview Process:

The interview process will consist of two stages: a technically focused questioning and experience review, followed by a soft skills, culture, and environment conversation.
