About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to join our team at NewDay, a leading FinTech company. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crafting Secure and Scalable Code
    • Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions using PHP and Laravel.
    • Ensure that all code is secure, efficient, and meets the highest standards of quality.
  • Leading Release Management
    • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software releases to ensure timely and successful deployment.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Providing Second-Line Production Support
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum uptime.
    • Work closely with the development team to resolve issues and implement fixes.
  • Driving Innovation and Growth
    • Contribute to the development of new features and technologies to drive business growth and innovation.
    • Collaborate with the product team to identify and prioritize new project requirements.
  • Mentoring and Knowledge Sharing
    • Mentor junior developers to help them grow and develop their skills.
    • Share knowledge and expertise with the team to ensure a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in PHP, Laravel, and related technologies.
    • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and other web development technologies.
    • Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB) and version control systems.
  • Soft Skills
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
