Job Opportunity: A committed Consultant Psychiatrist is sought to work in a specialist nursing home based in the Northamptonshire area.

This excellent service offers complex neurological care and physical as well as cognitive rehabilitation to over 18-year-old individuals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Administration of the Mental Health Act, Clinical Policy, Clinical Standards and associated administrative tasks
  • Manage and evaluate the medical service through audits, ensuring clinical policy, practice and its application are research-based
  • Work with external stakeholders to facilitate the service users' journey back into the community
  • Chair ward MDT meetings
  • Ensure the adequate working of the Care Programme Approach for service users
  • Contribute to the assessment of referrals and ensure the service meets the needs of those who are appropriately admitted
  • Participate in delivering Clinical Governance
