Regional Operations Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Operations Director to lead our multi-site operations in the East Staffordshire area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sustainable performance improvement across the account, owning and delivering operational change agendas, and ensuring regional compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
About the Role
As Regional Operations Director, you will have a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations and will be responsible for:
- Driving sustainable performance improvement across the account.
- Owning and delivering operational change agendas through personal leadership and providing value-adding contributions to strategic and longer-term development agendas.
- Ensuring regional compliance with health and safety regulations, GDP obligations, and environmental and quality standards.
- Leading multi-site operational teams and working collaboratively within a matrix organisation to ensure capability and delivery of operational objectives.
- Supporting the delivery and implementation of regional medium- and long-term resource plans, considering local and national market challenges.
- Managing regional operational budgets and ensuring all financial targets, fee revenue, and cash flow are managed to budget and forecast.
- Monitoring regional performance and achieving appropriate delta correction through robust operational reviews and audits.
- Developing relationships of mutual understanding and respect through effective two-way communication processes across site teams, customers, and suppliers.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience of Inbound and Outbound multi-site operations for a large 3PL or in-house function in a high-volume / fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the latest warehousing and distribution best practices and emerging concepts and solutions from across the logistics industry.
- Experience of coaching and mentoring people – excellent leadership skills.
- Track record of influencing internal people and at all levels to drive change.
- Excellent communication skills – spoken, written, and presenting.
- A strong understanding and experience with Logistics & Supply Chain Operations and considered an SME in Transport Operations.
Location: East Staffordshire area
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week
Salary: £85,000 per annum plus car / car allowance
