About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Transition Specialist to join our team at LEAP Legal Software. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth transition of data from legacy systems to our LEAP platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Extract and transfer data from legacy systems to LEAP with high accuracy and efficiency
  • Reconcile migrated accounting data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Develop and maintain documentation and internal systems to support data transition processes
  • Perform data audit checks to ensure data integrity and quality
  • Provide written reports on migrated data to stakeholders
  • Ensure data sets received from clients are complete and ready for transition
  • Import data into data transition software, analyze, tidy, and map to correct database fields
  • Export data and verify successful import into LEAP
  • Verify financial balances are correct and match legacy data
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure quality standards are met
  • Perform additional services on data migration, such as uploading client documentation to LEAP database
  • Liaise with colleagues in client-facing roles to ensure they are informed of data migration progress
Requirements
  • Experience working with legal practice management software
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, including matters, unbilled fees, disbursements, and expenses
  • Understanding of database environments and transitions
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify, manage, and mitigate risk effectively
  • Confidence in liaising with clients regarding conversion status
  • MS SQL knowledge advantageous
  • Knowledge or background in bookkeeping or accounting advantageous
