Job Title: Commissioning Lead

ICDS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANTS LTD is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Lead to join our team. As a key member of our MEP Commissioning team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient commissioning of Mechanical and Electrical systems in hyperscale Data Centers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Commissioning Leadership: Align commissioning activities to ensure safe execution, prioritizing Health and Safety for all stakeholders.
  2. Health and Safety: Lead by example, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of Company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  3. Energy Isolation and Lock Out Tag Out: Ensure full adoption and compliance with safe systems of work during commissioning activities.
  4. Factory Acceptance Testing: Attend testing as required and produce associated documentation.
  5. Issue Resolution: Maintain an issues log and track items to successful closure.
  6. Commissioning Plan Management: Set up and close out Commissioning plans for the project.
  7. Commissioning Tagging: Manage the tagging process and procedures.
  8. System Knowledge: Have a full working knowledge of project Electrical/Mechanical systems.
  9. Commissioning Implementation Plans: Manage the development of project-specific CIPs.
  10. Site Inspections: Conduct site inspections during commissioning.
  11. Quality Standards: Coordinate that rooms and areas meet relevant CSA and MEP Quality standards.
  12. Stakeholder Communication: Ensure stakeholders receive necessary information for commissioning progression.
  13. Master Construction Schedule: Review and identify opportunities for sequencing to support program delivery.
  14. Commissioning Meetings: Chair weekly/daily commissioning meetings and direct commissioning activities as required.
  15. Progress Reports: Issue weekly progress reports on all commissioning activities.
  16. Sub-Contractor Management: Manage sub-contractor activities, tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels.
  17. Client and Contractor Vendors: Manage relevant vendors to ensure specifications are met and commissioned within the required process.
  18. Testing and Commissioning Documentation: Compile all documentation, verifying and signing off on results.

Requirements:

  1. 3rd Level Building Services/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or Trade background.
  2. Minimum 5 years plus experience in a site-based MEP Commissioning role.
  3. Extensive Commissioning knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems.
  4. Experience working on hyperscale Data Centers.
  5. Excellent IT skills.
