Commissioning Lead

ICDS is seeking a highly skilled MEP Commissioning Lead to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient commissioning of Mechanical and Electrical systems in hyperscale Data Centres.
Key Responsibilities:- Align commissioning activities to ensure safe completion, prioritizing the Health and Safety of all stakeholders.
- Lead by example, promoting Company Health & Safety policies and procedures, and ensuring they are integrated into all discussions.
- Ensure full adoption and compliance with Energy Isolations and Lock Out Tag Out procedures under safe systems of work during commissioning activities.
- Attend Factory Acceptance Testing as required and produce associated documentation.
- Maintain an issues resolution log for commissioning activities and track items to successful closure.
- Manage the setup and closing out of the Commissioning plan for the project.
- Coordinate the Commissioning Tagging process and procedures.
- Develop a thorough understanding of project Electrical/Mechanical systems and commissioning requirements.
- Complete site inspections during commissioning and ensure rooms and areas meet relevant CSA and MEP Quality standards.
- Coordinate stakeholder information to progress commissioning, enabling works to proceed in line with the construction program.
- Review the master construction schedule to identify opportunities and sequencing to support program delivery.
- Chair weekly/daily commissioning meetings and direct commissioning activities as required.
- Issue weekly progress reports on commissioning activities.
- Manage sub-contractor activities, tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels.
- Coordinate with client and contractor vendors to ensure specifications are met and commissioned within the required process.
- Compile and verify Testing and Commissioning Documentation, including signing off on results.
- Review and ensure system commissioning stakeholders produce necessary items, including Construction and Commissioning Programs, Risk Assessments, and Field and Vendor turnover/handover packs.
This role requires strong time management and communication skills, as well as computer literacy and the ability to prepare reports and administer necessary paperwork.
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in MEP Commissioning, excellent IT skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
