Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist - Medicines Management Specialist

As a Clinical Pharmacist - Medicines Management Specialist with Ashtons Hospital Pharmacy Services Limited, you will play a vital role in providing expert pharmaceutical care to achieve clinical excellence and improved patient outcomes. We offer support with your professional development, including specific funding allocated for the Post-Graduate Certificate in Psychiatric Therapeutics and the European Certificate in Palliative Care.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and all relevant staff, while becoming familiar with the site's relevant policies and procedures.
  • Undertake medicines management audits on-site to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Provide clinical training seminars to healthcare professionals.
  • Involved in driving change, supporting with policy reviews and changes where appropriate.
  • Maintain registration as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council, and act in accordance with the code of ethics.
  • There may be a need for travel across a region, depending on assigned work and location of sites that we service.

Person Specification

Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in pharmacy, or equivalent at time of qualification.
  2. Have a valid UK driver's licence, with the ability to travel.
  3. Excellent attention to detail, including proofreading skills, with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (if English is not the first language, literacy and maths test may be required at interview).
