About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Ruddington View, a specialist residential service in Nottingham. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of the people we support, helping them to gain more independence in their daily lives.

Our service is designed to provide a welcoming and friendly environment, where individuals can thrive and reach their full potential. You will work closely with a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people, teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, and encouraging them to access their local communities and socialise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred care and support to individuals with complex needs, including learning disabilities and mental health needs.
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Teach new life skills, such as cooking and cleaning, to promote independence.
  • Encourage individuals to access their local communities, participate in activities, and engage in social events.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A full UK driving license.
  • Experience working with complex individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and challenging behaviours.
  • Resilience, flexibility, and a composed approach.
  • A passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support.
