About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Ruddington View, a specialist residential service in Ruddington. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of the people we support, helping them to gain more independence in their daily lives.

Our service is a welcoming and friendly environment, where no two days are the same. You will have the opportunity to teach new life skills, assist with personal care, encourage individuals to access their local communities, socialise, and engage in various activities.

We provide person-centred care and support for six individuals and can offer unplanned care and support for another two individuals. Our purpose-built, safe environment has been developed to put our service users at the heart of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and challenging behaviours
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Encourage individuals to access their local communities, socialise, and engage in various activities
  • Teach new life skills, such as cooking and cleaning
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide person-centred care and support
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible, and composed in your approach. You will also need experience working with complex individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and challenging behaviours.
