Staff Counsellor Opportunity at WhereToTalk

Job Type: Part Time

Hours: 18.5 hours per week

Location: Bournemouth, Dorset

We are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment at WhereToTalk. As a Staff Counsellor, you will play a vital role in providing confidential counselling services to our staff, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive in their roles.

The ideal candidate will have a recognised counselling qualification and a minimum of two years' post-qualifying counselling experience. You will also have in-depth knowledge of the BACP Ethical Framework for Counselling Professions and be able to work autonomously with a specialist caseload.

This role involves working with vulnerable individuals, and therefore, requires compliance with our Safeguarding Policies, including enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance prior to commencement. You will also be required to complete our approved Safeguarding Training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and deliver a confidential counselling service to staff
  • Manage a specialist caseload to ensure support is delivered at the point of need
  • Comply with the BACP Ethical Framework for Counselling Professions
