Geoscientist/Geological Modeller

We are seeking a highly motivated Geoscientist/Geological Modeller to join our team in the nuclear focused business. The successful candidate will support our existing business and continued strategic positioning in the radioactive waste management and disposal sectors.
The role will involve working with a team of geologists, engineering geologists, geochemists, and other experts to develop conceptual models of geological materials, including engineering aspects relating to hydrogeological and gas pathways. The candidate will also have the opportunity to work on challenging and exciting geoscience projects in support of nuclear decommissioning and waste management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Earth Sciences, geotechnical engineering, or engineering geology, with experience in data management systems, data quality assessments, and research activities. They will also have proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python or Matlab, and experience in relevant software, such as Petrel/IHS Kingdom, Move, Leapfrog, and ArcGIS/ArcPro.

Key Responsibilities- Develop and apply data management systems and undertake data quality assessments.
- Work within a team to apply, and where necessary, develop new approaches to data review, interpretation, integration, and ultimately model development.

- Qualifications in Earth Sciences, geotechnical engineering, or engineering geology (Master's, preferably a PhD or equivalent).
- Experience of undertaking site/field works where required.
- Experience in the following (or similar) software/s: Petrel/IHS Kingdom, Move, Leapfrog, ArcGIS/ArcPro.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python or Matlab.
- Experience in a relevant comparable consultancy or academic role.
