Electronics Engineer

As a Power Electronics Test Engineer at Ultra Maritime, you will play a crucial role in the validation and troubleshooting of power converters, motor drives, and electrical systems. With a strong emphasis on lab-based testing, electrical testing, and fault finding, this position offers the chance to engage directly with hardware, diagnose complex issues, and provide feedback to improve the performance and reliability of products.
Key Responsibilities- Lead hands-on testing of power electronics and electrical systems in a lab environment, ensuring systems perform according to specifications and safety standards.
- Develop and execute test plans, including functional and performance testing for power converters, motor drives, and other related systems.
- Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, power analyzers, and signal generators to conduct precise measurements and validate system performance.
- HND, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Electronics Engineering, or a related field with a focus on electrical testing and electronics systems.
- Proven experience in power electronics testing, fault finding, and lab-based testing of power converters, motor drives, or other complex electronic systems.
- Familiarity with electrical testing on both low-voltage and high-voltage systems, including diagnostics and fault resolution.
Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
