IT Infrastructure Support Specialist

Join our team as an IT Infrastructure Support Technician and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our corporate and customer-managed IT infrastructure and projects.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide day-to-day technical support on the corporate and customer-managed IT infrastructure and projects.
- Work as part of the IT team delivering a quality 24/7 service to internal users and nominated customer gateways, servers, and laptops.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, operating systems, software, and applications.
- Assist in the administration of corporate servers and applications.
- Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly duties and tasks as requested by the IT Operations Manager.
- Build laptops and PCs according to internal and customer specifications, ensuring they meet IT security policies and accreditation standards.
- Ensure the smooth running and patching of the desktop environment, monitoring usage and performance.
- Manage and support onsite A/V equipment, including video conferencing and projectors.
- Follow departmental change control processes and procedures.
- Work within the remit of cyber security policies.
- Assist with the administration of nominated customer IT equipment and networks.
- Be part of the support team for client users, fault-finding and solving problems.
- HND/degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline, or at least 5 years of applicable experience in a demanding environment.
- Broad range of technical skills in diverse IT hardware and business applications.
- Sound technical knowledge of core Microsoft Windows 10/11 desktop environments.
- Sound technical knowledge of Windows Server 2019/2022 administration skills.
- Good understanding of IT security, including anti-virus, hard drive encryption, and authentication.
- Experience of Microsoft Exchange and email services, including spam filtering and cloud continuity/messaging services.
- Previous experience in 1st/2nd line support roles.
- Ability to achieve Security Clearance (SC/DV).
