Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the finance team at Threshold as an Assistant Accountant. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a finance department and possess excellent analytical and communication skills.

Main Duties
  • Assist the Head of Finance and Director of Finance to develop the Finance Department and ensure that all activities and functions of the Department are aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Manage Purchase Ledger processing and payment of invoices.
  • Assist the Head of Finance to ensure all work is completed for payroll including pension and HMRC payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide financial information and analysis to support business decisions.

Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar role in the Finance Department of an organisation with a turnover of at least £1 million.
* Minimum of 2 years experience of month end processing/journals to bring to financial to stage of management accounts, monthly reconciliation of control accounts and contributing to external audit processes.
* Intermediate level of competence using Microsoft Excel.
