My client is seeking an experienced and qualified Registered Manager to oversee two of their established children's residential homes. The homes are located in close proximity, allowing for efficient management under dual registration.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of both homes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, procedures, and policies. They will also be involved in recruitment, training, and development of staff, as well as liaising with internal and external teams to meet the care needs of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the efficient operation of both homes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, procedures, and policies.
  • Support adults working with our young people to achieve the highest standards of care.
  • Be involved in recruitment for both teams, including vetting, interviewing, and inducting new employees.
  • Contribute to a comprehensive team training and development programme.
  • Liaise with internal and external teams to ensure the care needs of children and young people are met.
  • Register with the regulator and uphold requirements and conditions of this registration.
Requirements:
  • A level 5 diploma in leadership for health and social care and children and young people's services, or equivalent.
  • Experience in a management capacity in a residential children's home, or extensive experience in a deputy manager position.
  • Full manual driving licence.
  • Participation in further continuing professional development to support the needs of our young people.
