First Military Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join their team in Trafford. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the network, installing electrical equipment, and performing routine street lighting faults.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £35,000 per annum, based on industry standards. This figure includes an allowance for overtime pay. The successful candidate will work outdoors and be responsible for the security of plant, tools, and materials.

About the Role
This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong technical skills and a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with other technicians to ensure that all electrical equipment is installed and maintained to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
• Install all electrical equipment conforming to HEA and IEE 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• Attend to routine street lighting faults and diagnose failed components.
• Perform electrical inspection tests and install electrical equipment to 714 or equivalent.
• Excavate for column, bollard, and sign foundations and clean and change block connections.
• Record test results using a handheld computer and commission new lighting columns/bollards/lit signs.
• Participate in out-of-hours emergency services on a call-out basis and undertake other maintenance tasks as required.
