Job Summary

As an Associate engineer with Sky, you will be part of a highly skilled and dynamic team responsible for the physical implementation and first-line maintenance of Sky's core IP and transmission networks.

 

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a great aptitude for innovation and forward thinking, as well as outstanding communication skills. This role requires a full UK driving license, experience in the installation of copper (Cat5e, Cat6) and fibre optic structured data cabling is essential.

 

Responsibilities
  • Physical implementation and preventative maintenance within the Sky LLU Estate, situated in Openreach telephone exchanges.
  • Restore network faults across the Sky network meeting defined SLAs.
  • Day-to-day operations and maintenance within the Sky POP and Datacentre environments ensuring all support functions are performed to Skys exemplary standards.

 

Requirements
  • Proven experience within the Telecom / ISP industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

 

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, based on the location, of around £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a range of benefits, including private healthcare, discounted mobile and broadband, and a company vehicle.

 

Location

This role is based in Somerset/Taunton area covering Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucester, and South Wales area on a work pattern of 5 working days per week (United Kingdom) at 37.5 hours/week.
