Data Centre Building Services Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineer to join our team at PRS. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive and emergency breakdown tasks, and ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance to building services equipment
  • Carry out reactive and emergency breakdown tasks allocated
  • Carry out inspections, fault finding and diagnosis
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with agreed service levels
  • Complete job sheets electronically on a Tablet or Smartphone
  • Maintain site-based records and log books (FGas)
  • Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping to maximise life expectancy of all equipment
  • Proactively work to reduce energy consumption on client sites and recommend improvements
  • Work to all health, safety, compliance and local policies and procedures
  • Maintain excellent relationships with team members and customers - face to face, telephone and email
  • Maintain correct stock levels

Requirements

  • F-Gas Cat 1
  • City & Guilds level 2/3 in Electrical Engineering
  • Commercial building maintenance experience in a customer-facing environment
  • Experience in downflow units, CRAC units and split units
