We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Gerber Pattern Cutter to join our team at Create Recruitment Specialists Ltd. As a Freelance Gerber Pattern Cutter, you will be responsible for creating first patterns using the Gerber/Lectra system while working alongside designers and seamstresses to ensure garments are produced to the client's expected standards.

The ideal candidate will have prior pattern cutting experience working with Gerber, be immediately available, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating first patterns using the Gerber/Lectra system
  • Working alongside designers and seamstresses to ensure garments meet client expectations
  • Producing first patterns and making amendments to existing patterns as required
  • Ability to work from spec sheet comments and follow through each action point to finalised patterns for grading and bulk production
  • Checking and fixing graded patterns before sending out to manufacturers

About you:

  • Excellent understanding of fit and garment construction from a development and factory capability perspective
  • Accustomed to working to tight deadlines and being able to multitask across changing priorities
  • Flexibility required at peak times to manage workload
  • A team player with great interpersonal skills
  • Clear and concise communicator
  • Confident in digitizing, marker making, and laying plans

The successful candidate will be a skilled Freelance Gerber Pattern Cutter with a strong understanding of fit and garment construction, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
