Scientific Director, Medical Communications

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Director to join our team at OPEN Health Group. As a key member of our medical communications team, you will be responsible for leading multiple projects simultaneously, providing medical expertise, and developing high-quality content that supports our clients' strategic product positioning.
Key Responsibilities- Content Development: Develop meaningful strategic content, ensuring medical accuracy and scientific integrity, for a variety of projects, including advisory boards, promotional slide presentations, and scripts.
- Client Support: Anticipate and proactively address clients' scientific content needs, ensuring complete client satisfaction and the highest levels of quality control and client service.
- Project Planning: Collaborate with senior management, project, and account teams to plan and execute project work, ensuring appropriate scientific support and communication.
- Content Creation: Develop high-quality written materials that are scientifically accurate and appropriate to the target audience.
- Workload Management: Successfully manage workload to allow timelines to move forward in an effective and smooth manner.
- Scientific Integrity: Maintain scientific integrity of content during project implementation.
- Education: Doctoral-level degree (PhD, MD, PharmD) in a relevant field preferred (account support will likely be solid and hematologic oncology and/or ALS).
- Experience: Extensive experience in medical communications, medical education, pharmaceutical marketing, medical affairs, content production (promotional slide presentations and ad board decks) or equivalent.
- Communication Skills: Superior communication skills (both written and verbal) and a proven ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to a variety of audiences including clients, patients, and the external scientific community.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Teamwork: Ability to foster integration, collaboration, and teamwork with account team members.
- Medical Education: Apply experience by demonstrating a clear and full understanding of evolving medical education policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Domestic/Global Travel: The ability to travel and meet with clients as required to maintain effective relationships.
- Travel Percentage: 10% potential domestic/global travel.
